Reframing Your Way to Creative Success – Part 2
“Creativity is the power to connect the seemingly unconnected”. That is a quote by William Plomer. Now I don’t know much about him, but I love that quote. It actually links nicely into this episode, which is the second half of a two-part podcast. If you’ve listened to the first half Reframing Part 1, then you know what reframing is and you’re already aware of how it provides a way for people to be more positive and to break out of victim mentality. Now it’s time to look at some of the other benefits that reframing can bring to a creative. In this episode, we are going to examine three other ways in which employing this practice will be an invaluable tool for you:
- How reframing promotes empathy
- How reframing improves your ability to see valuable connections.
- How reframing gives you more perspective.
Join me as I unpack these ideas through quotes, references and even movie breakdowns! We’ll take a look at a couple of specific examples of reframing helping with creative writing and visual arts, but of course this technique can (and should be) utilized by artists of any discipline. Get inspired to understand and add this skill to your creative practice!!
